So let's get a couple of things straight, NO you don't have to be from Mexico OR have lived in Southern California to ENJOY good Mexican food

Some people think that to appreciate what they deem as authentic Mexican food, it's impossible to find here in Bismarck, or Mandan...OR all of North Dakota for that matter - but that's simply not true. If you look up authentic on google, you'll find different ways of explaining to you what it truly means, but the bottom line is "Real, Genuine" - here is the thing, all of the above doesn't really matter, it's what YOU think, and what YOU find tastes the best and meets your needs.

Social Media of course brings us debates that are ignited by a random post

I was just doing my usual skimming through posts on one of our local Facebook group pages, and I came across an excellent paragraph praising a fast-food Mexican restaurant that provided great service, and I wasn't the only one that felt refreshed to read some comments that were positive and engaging. Lately, we have had so many issues involving restaurants closed due to a lack of employees. I also noticed that there are a ton of people who have their dead-set opinions on who has the best Mexican restaurant in town. This is when the great debate kicks in.

So what in your mind sets aside one place from the other?

In other words, what makes your favorite Mexican restaurant better than the rest? I checked with several co-workers on this - "Quick, affordable..." was one key factor. Another was  "Authentic, their blend of spices and seasoning makes this place stand-alone"  - You'll notice I haven't mentioned any restaurants by name, that's your job. I want to know what you think and why. Remember, I live here, so I want you to pretend like you are talking to someone who has never been here, and in YOUR words, tell me what makes your favorite Mexican Restaurant so special.
