2023 WE FEST-Huge Crowds, Awesome Country Music

I know of several people who planned on this for well over a year...

...and this event in my opinion is quite mind-blowing all the logistics that it takes to put this on, I can't even begin to imagine what it takes. 2023 We Fest is into the second full day of country music celebration,  featuring a stellar line-up - Morgan Wallen, Kane Brown, Brad Paisley, and other crowd favorites. Located at Soo Pass Ranch in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, attendance has grown steadily since they started this event 40 years ago - from 23,000 to over 40,000 people.

Traffic delays are a part of any MAJOR event

Here is hoping that you had a major head start on the crowds getting there, for the reports of long lines and delays were many. A sea of non-stop campers were seen clogging up the roads coming in, and once they arrived several people experienced sold-out campsites. According to valleynewslive "Many are experiencing sold out campsites. “They opened Hilltop, I heard, and they’re overflowing people there,” says WE Fest camper Ian Harker. Some have no electricity, even after buying the electric sites right as tickets went on sale last year. I would guess that glitches like that are bound to happen in a huge event like this.

We Fest General Manager addressed some of the problems that came about

One of the problems that came up was an oversell of a VIP Electric campsite. We Fest General Manager Mark Bjerke said “I’m not sure what happened. It told us we had more inventory than we had, and that’s what sort of messed up everything.” valleynewslive reported. Bjerke and his team put their heads together to resolve that and other problems that came about. This is and always will be an amazing event, treating country music fans to top-notch entertainment.

One thing that is crystal clear

We Fest made it very obvious from the very start that attendees would be safe and protected - with an abundance of security - checking bags and dog teams out sniffing campers. For many who were in attendance that was reassuring. Bring on 2024 We Fest!
