A Wonderful UPDATE : Bismarck’s “Grand Canyon” Of Potholes

Ok...I have an UPDATE on a story I wrote two weeks ago...Here is what I initially wrote back on April 5th...

The picture you see on this article's cover is not an aerial view of a muddy Grand Canyon. You can easily visit the site where the cover picture of this article was taken, JUST beware that you don't fall in, you may never be seen again. If you are traveling on the Expressway, take a left at South Washington, and less than 400 yards away you will see it...

If your goal is to make a "run for the border"...

...keep your eyes open when you get close to Taco Bell. if you are on foot, you'll need a running start if you plan on jumping over the treacherous potholes that are in the parking lot of Natural Grocers. We have all seen our share of these scattered around Bismarck and Mandan, but it's not like we had a violent winter or anything like that, I mean I understand how snow plows can dig up concrete This location of tiny craters have been "Active" for at least a year or so.

If you think this is no big deal, then you haven't driven through them

A definite jolt to your tires and your bones. You rattle over these potholes and you'll feel your teeth chatter. The one mystery to me is WHY these potholes haven't been covered up or whatever they do to repair these "Monsters of the pavement" ...So I'm going to start thinking positive. Maybe when the summer rolls around, and the temps soar into the high 90s, we can fill up these mini-pools full of water and have a nice swim. What do you think

A Happy UPDATE : 

Whether it's a permanent fix or just a temporary one, judging by the many comments on The Bismarck People Reporting News Group's Facebook page was exciting and encouraging. My favorite response was "God is REAL"
