As Carson Wentz continues to recover from a torn ACL injury, the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles are busy in NFL free agency and just signed another offensive threat.

The Eagles added wide receiver Mike Wallace. He signed a one-year deal worth up to $4 million, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The newly acquired receiver is known for being a deep threat and may be able to fill in for the lost presence of Torrey Smith as he was picked up by the Carolina Panthers via trade earlier in the offseason.

Despite a decline in his numbers, Wallace was the most dependable wide receiver for the Baltimore Ravens last season, catching 52 receptions for 748 receiving yards. Those numbers led the team in both those categories.

In his two seasons with Baltimore, 31-year old wide receiver was key in stretching the field on deep plays. Eight of his plays went for 50 yards or more, which is the most in the NFL during that time.

When Carson Wentz is healthy enough to take the field, he'd probably love to see some more of that deep play ability from the newly acquired playmaking receiver.
