Once again this year we asked our listeners to Light Up Bismarck Mandan.

With the combination of a warm fall and lots of joyous Christmas cheer, the Bismarck Mandan area sure got "lit" this year.  It seemed like every block I went down this year was illuminating some kind of Christmas lights.

It was a spectacular sight to see indeed and we asked you to share your Christmas light display with us.

One lucky Christmas light display drawn at random scores a $500 Walmart gift card.

We received hundreds of entries again this year and we threw them all into a hat to determine the winner.  Then one lucky entry was pulled from my Minnesota Vikings cap to be crowned " The Light Up Bismarck Mandan Grand Prize Winner."

Before I share who this year's lucky winner of a $500 dollar gift card from Walmart is let's take a look at a few of the Christmas light displays that really shined this year.

They include a very beautiful light display from Dan Schwahn.  Big props for all the blow-up displays and I love your garage door decorations.

I really like this display from Rob Graff.  He's even got the "Graff" name on the roof.  Very elegant display Graff family.  Nice work for sure.

Matthew Lundberg sent in this display.  I especially like the lit-up sidewalk that surrounds the yard.  Very well done.

I also like this display from Sara Dutchuk.  From the candy canes to the blow-up Christmas characters, this display is really well orchestrated.

And now, this year's lucky winner of Light Up Bismarck Mandan is Cody Heinert's display.

No Grinch problem here.  Just about every square inch of his yard is illuminated with some sort of Christmas decoration or light.  Congratulations Heinerts.  Enjoy your well-deserved $500 gift card to Walmart.

A BIG thank you to our sponsor Basin Electric Power Cooperative.
