Look For The Return Of "Mr.Sandwich" In Mandan

I will be honest with you; the first time I heard about this shop was last night

Last night, a co-worker sent out this post:

'Mr. Sandwich is Back: Open This Friday

Location: 105 Mandan Ave, Mandan ND 58554

We're Now Open

Friday 5:00 - 11:00 pm

Saturday 3:00 pm - 11 pm

Now, I'm no stranger to Mandan; I've worked out here now for 5 years

When I first read about this, probably much like yourself, I had never heard of "Mr. Sandwich", so I wondered if this was a place that had just reopened, or maybe they had relocated to 105 Mandan Ave. I took a drive over there this morning. Here is what I saw:

Now, unless Bob makes a mean ham sandwich, I couldn't find what I was looking for. I took a picture of his business and the property, and then my brain finally clicked in. I wonder if "Mr Sandwich" is mobile? That has to be it.

I took the matter one step further and called the number on the sign

Had a real nice conversation with Bob Kupper - who owns BAPKITO Auto Sales. I asked him if I was going crazy and if he had ever heard of Mr. Sandwich before. I read Bob the post that was out, and that his address was mentioned. "Oh are they coming this Friday?" he said - obviously, he was unaware of the news.

I laughed for a couple of seconds and replied, "You don't know anything about this?"

Bob told me he met the owner years ago and has always allowed "Mr. Sandwich" a temporary place to set up - "I just hope one day I'll show up and they will give me a FREE sandwich..." - Bob I would bet money they definitely will :)
