All signs are pointing to a ridiculously hot summer.  After some yard work last night, I drove down to my local Cenex to grab a cool lemonade.  Much to my chagrin, they were completely sold out.  I guess smart minds think alike.

We've got a day coming up in Bismarck that's all about Lemonade and the youth in our community.  "Lemonade Day" is happening again this year on Saturday, June 19th, 2021.  Bismarck Mayor Steve Bakken says, "Lemonade Day is a great way to promote the entrepreneurial spirit by getting the kids involved and on the path of business leadership in our community."

You are asked to register your young entrepreneur for Lemonade Day.  You can do that HERE.  Once, they're registered, they will be included in all Lemonade Day communications that will keep your child updated on tips and tricks for success.  You'll also get info on backpack/workbook pickups and messages from the city champions.

Lemonade Day is a FREE experience for your child.  It's a great way to teach your kid how to start, own and operate their very own business with a lemonade stand.  Once your child registers, they'll receive a free backpack and entrepreneur workbook that will teach them a pleura things.  Including, goal setting, a business plan, making a budget, working with an investor, marketing and advertising, how to build a stand, customer service and spending decisions.

The kids will keep all of their profits once they pay their investor back.  They will then be encouraged to spend some of their money, save some and share some of their profit with a local charity or somebody they know in need.  Sounds like a win win.

Lemonade Day is geared towards 3rd graders to 8th graders, however, however everyone can be involved.  Sign up your kids today.
