For all of you who still have your fathers alive, I am happy for you

I lost mine about 5 years ago. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of him, and all the wasted time I spent when a simple phone call would have made his day. I promise I'm not trying to make this a "downer" post. My intention is for you to be with your father this weekend, and if you're looking for something extra special to do for him, I have the perfect idea.

You don't have to be a sports fan to understand the meaning of this movie

Also, something I failed to point out, you don't have to go out and spend a ton of money, or take your dad anywhere fancy. Just being with him is a huge part of Father's Day ( This Sunday ).

I believe that just taking a couple of hours and watching the perfect movie with him will say it all. I miss the nights my dad and I would attempt to watch something together, and about a half-hour in, he would be asleep on the couch. Most dads love sports movies, but you don't have to be a fan to understand the meaning of this movie.

"Field of Dreams" - A classic movie starring Kevin Costner

Watch at your own risk - It's quite understandable should the tears flow. As this movie ends, hug your dad and tell him you love him  - that's what Father's Day is all about.
