That's exactly what he was to so many people in Bismarck and Mandan "A Bismarck Blessing"

I remember meeting him for the first time - with a HUGE smile and a friendly firm handshake, you just knew right away that this man loved his job and his city. If anyone ever had any fears of being around a police officer, that would have disappeared in seconds being around him. He was your friend instantly and from that moment on you would feel his warmth every time you saw him.

Caity Horne and Clint Fuller were partners for 6 years

She had the wonderful opportunity to work with him, to make an impact around kids in Bismarck - Both of them had amazing people skills and community relations was an ideal fit.

On her Facebook page - Caity posted words from her heart this morning:

"To know Clint Fuller was to love him. He had a way of lighting up any room with his infectious smile and those dad jokes that always seemed to come at just the right moment. Clint wasn't just a friend, he was my adopted big brother, my "crushin crime before dinner time" partner in crime, and my go-to when it came to talking about the word of God. Those conversations brought so much comfort and joy, and they are moments i'll hold onto forever.

His faith was unwavering, his humor unmatched, and his heart full of kindness. The world feels a little dimmer without him, but I know he's resting in the arms of the Lord now. Clint, you will be missed more than words can say.
Until we meet again, my brother 💙"
As my early years in Bismarck continued, I always kept my eyes open for one of the nicest people I've ever met
Where ever there was a gathering of law enforcement, volunteers, and people driving by and dropping off toys for children in our city, there he was.- If you were shaking from the cold outside ONCE again his smile would warm you up.
Bismarck Police Department had this to say on their Facebook page as well:
"It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we share the tragic passing of Officer Clint Fuller. Officer Fuller has been with the Bismarck Police Department for 21 years and dedicated his life to serving and protecting our community, always going above and beyond to ensure the safety and well-being of others. His commitment and kindness touched countless lives, and he will be remembered as a true hero. Officer Fuller had an immense presence in the community and was loved by all who had the pleasure to encounter him. He was known around the department for his constant smile, positive attitude, and the occasional dad joke.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and all who had the honor of working alongside him. May his memory be a lasting source of inspiration, and may his loved ones find comfort during this incredibly difficult time.
Funeral arrangements are pending will be shared as soon as they become available.
Thank you for your patience and respect for the family’s privacy during this time. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers
Rest in peace, Officer Fuller. You will never be forgotten. 💙"
The last time I spent with Clint was on a windy Saturday morning at the Capital
The 2024 Bismarck Marathon was happening the next day - he and I were in the parking lot trying to stay warm - sitting in his patrol car I asked him what his career was like, what it takes to be a police officer. Without hesitation, he said "Caring about other people..."
I'll never forget him and  I'm positive the rest of us won't either
