The Philadelphia Eagles remained undefeated at home and beat the San Francisco 49ers, 33-10.

Carson Wentz threw for 211 yards on 18 of 32 passing with two touchdowns and an interception as the Eagles defense was relentless against the 49ers.

In what seemed like a defensive struggle at the start, the Eagles offense got going late in the first half when Wentz hit rookie Mack Hollins over the middle for a 24-yard gain to get to the 49ers 20 just before the two-minute warning. Three plays later. Wentz threw to Torrey Smith in the end zone, which was incomplete, but a pass interference was called, setting up the Eagles at the 1-yard line. Then, Wentz threw to a wide open Zach Ertz for a touchdown to make it 9-0. The Eagles missed the point after.

On the 49ers next possession, Jalen Mills picked off C.J. Beathard and returned it 37-yards for a pick six. The Eagles went for the two-point conversion and Wentz hit Alshon Jeffery in the end zone to make it 17-0 going into the half.

Late in the third quarter, after an Eagles field goal made it 20-0, Wentz’s pass was picked off in Eagles territory by Ahkello Witherspoon. The 49ers seemed to have made it a game two plays later when Matt Breida scores on a shovel pass from Breathard from 21 yards out to make it 20-7. But the Eagles responded quickly.

On the next possession, Wentz threw deep to Jeffery, who did exactly what he does best; go up over the coverage to get the ball. He caught the long, high pass from Wentz and took it the rest of the way for a 53-yard score to make it 27-7.

On the 49ers next possession, they were looking at a 27-yard chip shot field goal when rookie Derek Barnett blocked and recovered the ball just short of midfield.

LaGarrette Blount went to work on the ground and eventually scored from 12 yards out to make it 33-7 with under 4 minutes remaining.

The Eagles defense forces two interceptions along with four sack to keep the 49ers at bay (no pun intended).

The Eagles are now 7-1 and remain in first in the NFC East, while also have the best record in the NFL. San Francisco falls to 0-8.

Next week, the Philadelphia Eagles will host the Denver Broncos at noon on Sunday (November 5th),
