For what seems like an eternity a ND bill that so many people wanted to pass met its fate

I've lived out here in North Dakota for over 11 years now, and for what seems like eternity, MOST people that I have met or talked with are all in favor of ONE thing - PLEASE let's leave our clocks alone - for good. There are some arguments for changing our clocks twice a year, and just recently, it sure seemed like we were finally going to observe daylight saving time year-round.

One of the arguments against

One of the arguments against this bill makes perfect sense - "Rep. Bernie Satrom, R-Jamestown, said he doesn’t like the proposal because he enjoys having an extra hour of daylight in the summer to play with kids and grandkids in the evening"   northdakotamonitor.com reported. Well, all of the anticipation and hope that this would be the year the bill passes, sizzled out.

So close, and yet once again so far

According to the inforum.com  "The North Dakota Senate voted down a bill Monday, April 7, to require the state to observe daylight saving time year-round if certain prerequisites were met. House Bill 1259 originally sought to have North Dakota observe standard time year-round"

One last question - will we ever leave our clocks alone? Only two states, Arizona and Hawaii, do not observe daylight saving time. I understand arguments FOR and AGAINST, but it's time this happens sooner or later.
