If you have any belief in "a devil on earth" -  this man is it

As painful as you can remember feeling the very first time you heard the name "Alfonso Rodriguez Jr" -  twenty years later the immediate thought of a "devil on earth" still rings true when his name and photograph are pictured. It was back in November of 2003 that a 22-year-old by the name of Dru Sjodin was reported missing in Grand Forks. According to nsopw.com "An investigation led police officials to Alfonso Rodriguez Jr., who was arrested on December 1, 2003. Rodriguez was a Level 3 Minnesota registered sexual offender who had been released from prison after a 23-year sentence only six months prior to Dru’s disappearance. Five months after Rodriguez’s arrest, Dru’s body was found just outside of Crookston, Minnesota"

"She was a bubbly young vibrant UND student - her life taken way early by an absolute monster..."

That was a comment from a co-worker who lived in Grand Forks at the time and was in the parking lot of the mall, that same day that Dru left work unaware that this devil was about to abduct her. In September 2006, he was sentenced to death. In an unbelievable turn of events, the killer's fate was changed to a life sentence - Kare 11.com reported that "Rodriguez's death sentence was overturned in September 2021 by Judge Ralph Erikson, who found that Rodriguez's constitutional rights were violated during the trial by misleading testimony..."  - I asked another co-worker what instantly comes to mind when the name Dru Sjodin come up - his reply was "Why doesn't North Dakota have the death penalty?" - it was abolished more than 50 years ago.

This Friday 20/20 will air an episode about the Dru Sjodin murder

“Missing From the Mall” will follow the abduction of Sjodin, a University of North Dakota student, from the Columbia Mall in Grand Forks in 2003" - Inforum.com reported that a family member said " ...“Missing From the Mall” will follow the abduction of Sjodin, a University of North Dakota student, from the Columbia Mall in Grand Forks in 2003"  In the meantime a devil stays put, rotting away in prison, a beautiful breathing soul slayed at the hands of a human ( trash ) being that is lucky to be alive.
