Carson Wentz has a lot to be thankful for. In fact he has at least 107 million reasons to be after signing a record-breaking deal Thursday evening.

The Philadelphia Eagles and the Bismarck native Wentz agreed to terms on a four-year extension with over $107 million guaranteed and incentives that could see Wentz make up to $154 million between now and 2024. It was reported that Wentz's guaranteed total eclipsed the record number set by Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson back in April.

Wentz is clearly fired up, and he should be after the amount of faith the Eagles have shown in him this season, despite Wentz  having to endure a pair of season-ending injuries the past two seasons.

With his job and financial security now shored up at least through 2024, Wentz can get back to focusing on returning to the MVP-level form he show during the 2017 season. After watching back up Nick Foles lead the Eagles through the playoffs to a Super Bowl victory, and then win another playoff game last year, you know Wentz is itching to get the Eagles back to the Super Bowl with himself under center.

Wentz will no doubt have a busy summer preparing to make another championship push, but he is still taking the time to give back in North Dakota. This year he will be hosting his annual charity softball tournament June 26 at Newman Outdoor Field in Fargo. Fans can get tickets and support his charity at www.ao1foundation.org.
