11, 14, 20, 23, 28 and 31....Lottery numbers right? Wrong, those are the numbers on 6 individual golf carts stolen right off the grounds at the semi-private Apple Creek Country Club Golf Course - 8921 County RD 10 in Bismarck. The thievery took place sometime Wednesday night into Thursday early morning. Burleigh County sheriff was called, and the descriptions of the golf carts are an easy one - They are all maroon colored, and they have numbers on them ( the numbers I mentioned at the start of this article ).

I talked to Preston who is one of the Pro shop's attendants on this Friday afternoon, and so far no arrests or suspects. One of my first questions was "Were all the keys left in the carts themselves? He gave me a logical theory, that each key is like universal - meaning that just one key alone can operate all the golf carts. That info alone tells me that the individuals had to have keys made, and I'm going to guess that there had to be more than one person that ripped off the 6 carts, otherwise that would have taken quite a while for just one thief. Preston also said that there were bike tracks out on the course coming from hole 4 - a trail that leads out to the street. Here is hoping that someone that lives in the neighborhood can relay some kind of information to the police if they saw anything out of the ordinary, you can get ahold of the Burleigh County Sheriffs Department at 701-222-6651. Let's hope the golf carts 11, 14, 20, 23, 28 and 31 are safely returned soon, and let's hope the next time you golf these numbers do NOT show up on your scorecard 11, 14, 20, 23, 28 and 31.
